Hello world!

Every blog has to start with ‘hello world’, right? My first ever computer action was to write a program in the BASIC language on a Commodore PET computer owned by the Biological Sciences Department of then ‘Portsmouth Polytechnic’ in 1979, and like 99% of all first programs it printed ‘Hello World’ to the screen. Profound stuff!

And yet, it is profound. Object Relations Theory – a school of psychology, tells us that we define who and what we are – by what we are not. Then, having understood our separateness, we come into relation with what is outside us. So, to the world – including you…hello! We are in relationship. We share our common world together. What could be more profound? I look forward to sharing my exploration here, and hope you will interact and give me your feedback, opinion, experience and wisdom too.
